Opening World Horti Center 07 Mar, 2018    < Back

In 2013 it started as an idea….. Finally, on 7 March 2018 the official opening of the World Horti Center took place by Her Majesty Queen Máxima.

At the opening not only the Queen, but also Carola Schouten (Minister of Agriculture Nature and Food Quality), Jaap Smit (Commissioner of the King of the provence Zuid-Holland) and Agnes van Ardenne-van der Hoeven (Mayor of the municipality Westland) were present. By placing a special made steel globe the Queen opened the World Horti Center, followed by a guided tour through the center by Peet van Adrichem.

AAB is proud that AAB intensively has been involved in the development and building of the center. In particular, we want to name Anton Hanemaaijer (architect) and Maik Rodenrijs (project manager). Also thanks to them, this unique building could be realized!
