Following an intensive process lasting over three years, AAB has succeeded in securing a redevelopment plot of approximately 14 hectares in Westland for Ter Laak Orchios. The signing of the final purchase agreement marks an important milestone.
To create the new site, seven greenhouse horticulture businesses and a number of residential properties have been consolidated into a single large plot. This creates space for the development of a modern and efficient cultivation site that is geared towards the challenges and opportunities of the future.
Increasing scale and restructuring play a key role within the greenhouse horticulture sector. By consolidating fragmented plots, space is created for innovation, greater sustainability and more efficient use of energy, water and logistics. This contributes to a strong and competitive greenhouse horticulture sector in the region.
For Ter Laak Orchios, the redevelopment site forms the basis for further growth and the application of the latest techniques and innovations. This enables the company to continue investing in sustainable and future-proof business operations.
AAB oversaw the process over several years and provided support with the complex acquisition and consolidation of the various plots. Reaching this milestone has paved the way for the further development of the new site.
