On November 1 the first plants were planted in the greenhouse construction project of Serres Toundra based in St. Félicien-Quebec Canada. The 43.000 cucumber plants were planted in the first compartment (2,8 ha) of the total of 8,5 ha greenhouse.
By mid and end November the second and third compartments will be planted. In addition the cucumber sorting machine and palletising robot will be installed in the 7,400 m² packing hall in the beginning of November.
After completion of the foundation of the greenhouse and building of the packing hall at the end of 2015, the greenhouse and its installations were completed within 6 months this year. Thanks to the close cooperation between customer and installers, mainly located in the Westland region, the first phase of this project was successfully completed.
